Experimental, Chamber DoomBest described as “Chamber Doom”, The Nausea uses dense and harsh textures contrasted with minimalist gestures and thick, overlapping orchestral string layers, shifting between abstraction and scored sonic narrative. Using the violin as a recurring central sound source, the project leans into using extended techniques, electronics, and experimentation to extract unique sounds and reposition them in harsh noise, industrial, dark ambient, black metal, neo-classical, and electronic contexts. The Nausea is the solo project of Canadian composer and musician, Anju Singh, based in Vancouver, BC. She has toured and presented the project across Canada, in Japan, and across Europe for almost 2 decades.
