L.A.M.S. (Lack A Mental Stability), a skate thrash band from the magical land named Edmonton Alberta, and has ripped a path through the underground Thrash /Metal scene with their unyielding, thrash skate sound. First formed in 1992 with Tavis Edwards, Chris Thompson, Vince Heschel, James Rachansky And reformed in 2011 for a birthday party, “We had so much fun we decided to keep rocking.” The band now consists of Tavis Edwards on vocals, Carmen Jak on the guitar, Shawn Thompson on the drums, Bryan Moisan on bass guitar, each bringing a unique skill set to the table. Their inspiration is from classic thrash metal acts like D.R.I and Suicidal Tendencies, but they also have incorporated elements from a broad variety of music, resulting in a sound that is both fast and heavy. Their self titled album, ‘L.A.M.S.,’ has gotten fantastic reviews for its high energy and heavy riffs, proving their place as a force to be reckoned with. L.A.M.S. is a mostly exclusive Edmonton band choosing to rock out in our home city over the years, having the honor to play with some of the biggest names in the metal skate scene. They have opened for a ton of legendary skate thrash and metal bands the likes of D.R.I., Agent Orange, Good Riddance, S.N.F.U. and so many others. As well as headlining a lot of shows. Their live shows are well known for their fun, intense energy and captivating stage presence. L.A.M.S. are not just a band, they a brotherhood of dedicated musicians and friends.
