Dump Babes bring together driving psych-rock riffs, powerful vocals, and an unbridled passion for ABBA. The result is trash-pop that’s as heavy as it is danceable, set against a backdrop of protest and anti-colonial lyrics. Their inaugural LP niýa kîminîcâkan (2022) quickly established the band as one of the most dynamic voices of the Canadian Prairies, and a staple of the region’s garage-music scene. With appearances at the renowned Sled Island, M for Montreal, NXNE, and Reeperbahn in the past year, this group shows no signs of slowing, and will be releasing their sophomore LP ‘Known liar’ in May of 2023.
