Self-proclaimed “Scariest Band in the World,” San Diego’s Deadbolt have been delivering their unmistakable brand of “voodoobilly” since the late ’80s. Blending sinister surf rock, rockabilly, psychobilly and blues with darkly humorous storytelling, Deadbolt have built a devoted cult following through decades of touring and notoriously theatrical live shows. Their twisted tales, eerie surf riffs and signature “Wall of Thunder” bass sound have made them one of the most unique and enduring acts in the underground rockabilly and psychobilly world. Decades later, Deadbolt remain one of the most unique and enduring acts in the underground rock ’n’ roll scene.
