Cheryl Wiwat is the founder of Cross Country Sync, a boutique independent music licensing agency based in Edmonton. Bringing a hyper-focused local lens to sync placement, she is pioneering a dedicated licensing infrastructure for Western Canadian independent artists. Drawing on her deep grassroots background, including serving as host/producer of BalconyTV Edmonton, show writer/host of Secret Setlist and grants administrator at Alberta Music, Cher is a fierce advocate for independent music. Her focus is on building genuine pathways for indie talent, and curating a high-impact, one-stop catalog to connect artists directly with domestic and international music supervisors.
