The vigorous rock ‘n’ roll of Pails/Buckets (Ned Kroczynski, Jack MacDonald, Finn Siegers, and Andrew Choy) captures the listener’s attention better than a bite in the ass. The band’s music is a mishmash of different eras of rock, retaining the attitudes of indie icons such as Lou Reed and Stephen Malkmus, while occasionally shedding the slacker to perform sludgey country-folk numbers.
Pails/Buckets have quickly honed in on a style which has come to be reflective of each member’s personality: anxious, weird, energetic, and occasionally annoying, though undoubtedly memorable. Despite being a relatively new band, Pails/Buckets have quickly gained a following through their numerous performances throughout Edmonton, notably at Starlite Temple, the Aviary, and their four Starlite MainStage shows. Looking to release their first EP in early 2026, the band is hopeful about where their music will take them.
